The Fietz Group offers a range of assembly and downstream processes to best meet the specific product requirements of its customers. In this context, Fietz components are combined with purchased parts or components provided by the customer. Component finishing is also among the downstream processes offered by the Fietz Group.

The simplest assembly tasks are performed in-house. Here, plastic parts are combined with other parts, fused, or completed. For example, Fietz supplies a PTFE molded part with an NBR O-ring fitted to it as a complete sealing kit to the customer.
For large-scale production runs, assembly operations must be automated. Fietz plastic parts are combined with other parts, fused, or completed. Fietz works with its customers to develop assembly systems that are specifically tailored to customer requirements.
The post-curing of plastics takes place in the form of post-sintering or radiation curing. During these processes, the plastic molecules are cross-linked more uniformly and densely, which leads to an improvement in the thermal and chemical properties of the plastics.
Plastics offer a wide range of excellent properties. However, there are applications that require the plastic part to meet an additional requirement that cannot be easily achieved through its inherent properties alone. In such cases, plastic parts can be coated. Common coatings provide resistance to abrasion, weathering, and chemicals. In addition, there are coatings that enhance sliding properties or make the surface of the plastic part harder and thus more scratch-resistant. A wide variety of plastic materials can be easily painted or even powder-coated.
The Fietz Group collaborates with specialized companies that perform post-processing on plastic parts.
Trowalizing is the vibratory finishing of parts using hard, solid balls and the addition of moisture to reduce or eliminate any burrs on the part’s surface. In cryogenic deburring, the parts are cooled until embrittlement occurs. This allows them to be easily ground or deburred afterward. Vibratory finishing at very low temperatures is called cryogenic deburring.
