Precision Engineering at the Burscheid Site

The Burscheid site is home to Fietz Polyform GmbH, where turning technology plays a central role in mechanical machining. Here, sophisticated components – particularly those made from the FiKumer^® and FiKumer^®-F material families – are manufactured on high-precision CNC lathes and automatic turning machines. 

Another outstanding feature of Fietz’s machine park is the large number of modern automatic lathes, CNC lathes, and CNC vertical lathes. This combination ensures maximum flexibility in machining a wide variety of geometries and meeting diverse requirements – from simple turned parts to complex precision components.

The production spectrum ranges from the manufacture of prototypes and material samples, through the production of small series, to the efficient production of large series of several hundred million units.

A key component of our value creation is our in-house semi-finished product manufacturing. RAM extruders for PTFE rods and tubes, presses for the production of PTFE semi-finished products, and horizontal extruders for POM and PEEK semi-finished products enable an independent, flexible, and quality-assured material supply.
