Company history

Highest standards since the beginning

The company was founded in 1974 by Manfred Fietz in the garage of his home. In 1977 the company moved into its first own building, and in 1985 it moved to its present location in the industrial district of Burscheid. Since its foundation, the family business has successively expanded its production facilities.

Parallel to the spatial expansion, the company constantly invests in modern facilities and in the research and development of new products and processes.

2024 and the future

Fietz continues to develop - for a more sustainable future

The Fietz Thermoplast GmbH warehouse in Radevormwald, which has been under construction since 2022, is due to be completed in fall 2024. Commissioning is planned by the end of the year. This warehouse is the Fietz Group's first building to be operated in a CO2-neutral manner. With a heat pump, photovoltaic system and heat recovery from two new energy-saving air compressors, the KfW 40-insulated building is heated by continuous underfloor heating.
The Fietz Group's efforts to conserve resources, achieve sustainability and save energy are impressive. The sustainability report required from 2026 (EU 2022/2464 CSRD) will therefore not cause the Fietz Group any stomach ache. No effort will be spared to make the production of plastic products more sustainable. The declared goal of CO2-neutral production by 2030 (Scope 1 & 2) is still in sight.
